When a silver bar indicating a second award of the medal is awarded it is positioned midway between the top and bottom edges of the ribbon. Where two of more bars have been awarded they will be evenly spaced on the ribbon. |

A silver maple leaf is worn on the undress ribbon to indicate each bar awarded. The first maple leaf is worn centred on the ribbon; two or more maple leaves are evenly spaced across the ribbon.
Included with the Medal is an extra length of ribbon, out of which two undress ribbons can be fashioned. The ribbon is wound around a half inch wide strip of stiffening material and sewn immediately above the left breast pocket of the uniform.
Also included, for recipients of a bar, are two silver maple leaves, one for each undress ribbon. Recipients of two bars receive four maple leaves, two for each ribbon, to be worn in the manner shown in the illustrations.
