The Canadian Bravery Decorations are a group of Canadian medals awarded for bravery. They are part of the Canadian Honour System created in 1967. The awards themselves were established in 1972. The Canadian Bravery Decorations recognize courageous acts in all situations not in the presence of an armed enemy.

The replica are mounted in a distinctive frame measuring 12" x 16" (30 cm x 40 cm) and is designed to highlight one side of the decoration.  As a personal touch your name is featured in an inscription which states that the decoration is a replica of the one presented to you by the Governor General of Canada.

 

 

The Star of Courage

The Star of Courage is awarded for acts of conspicuous courage in circumstances of great peril. They may be awarded to Canadian citizens or non-Canadians who have performed an act of bravery in Canada, or outside of Canada if the act was in Canada’s interest. The Decorations for Bravery may be awarded posthumously.

The Medal of Bravery
